Prepare the parts
1

Prepare the parts

Lay out all the parts and hardware on a clean, flat surface. Check that you have all the components listed in the parts list.
Prepare the adc/esp cable
2

Prepare the adc/esp cable

Cut the cable to a length of 50mm. Separate the wires and remove the unused ones, leaving only GND, 3, 4, and 6, as shown in the image. The corresponding pins are also labelled on the touch bar.
Solder wires to HX711
3

Solder wires to HX711

Solder the prepared cables to the HX711 according to the following pin mapping:

06 → VCC
GND → GND
03 → CLK
04 → DAT

For the load-cell wires, follow the labels printed on the HX711 board.
Soldering usb-c board
4

Soldering usb-c board

The battery and pigtail each have two wires: B+ and B−. The battery wires can be left at their full length, while the pigtail should be no longer than 30mm.

1. Solder the B+ wires from the battery and pigtail to the B+ terminals on the USB-C board.
2. Solder the B− wires to the B− terminals.

**Important:** Always verify the polarity before soldering. Never connect a B− wire to a B+ terminal, as this may cause a short circuit and damage the battery or electronics.
Assembling battery and usb-c board
5

Assembling battery and usb-c board

1. Apply double-sided tape to the bottom of the battery and USB-C board.
2. Insert the USB-C board at an angle, then press it firmly into place.
3. Position the battery as far into the corner as possible and press it down firmly.0
4. Make sure the cables are routed around where the load cell will be seated.
Display assembly
6

Display assembly

1. Place the bracket between the PCB and the display, as shown.
2. Insert the display into the enclosure while holding the bracket and PCB at an angle.
3. Press the bracket into the enclosure until it snaps into place.
4. Lay the PCB flat on top of the bracket.
5. Insert the BT2.5 × 8 self-tapping screws through the bracket and into the enclosure.
Assembling load cell and hx711
7

Assembling load cell and hx711

1. Place the base and enclosure next to each other as shown.
2. Position the installation tool on the base plate.
3. Place the load cell on top of the tool with the cables facing the enclosure and the load-direction arrow pointing down.
4. Insert the M3 × 12 machine screws through the threaded holes in the load cell and into the installation tool.
5. Secure the load cell to the base using the BT2.5 × 10 self-tapping screws
6. Remove the M3 x 12 machine screws.
7. Slightly lift the corners of the installation tool and remove it from the base.
8. Connect the ADC/ESP cable to the touch bar.
9. Place the HX711 face down, routing the cables between the board and the enclosure.
10. Secure the HX711 using the BT2.5 × 8 self-tapping screws.
Final assembly
8

Final assembly

1. Check that all cables are routed correctly. They must not touch the base plate when the scale is assembled.
2. Mount the installation tool on the opposite side of the base plate.
3. Rotate the base plate towards the enclosure as shown. The installation tool will align the parts.
4. Turn the scale over so that it rests on the installation tool.
5. Insert the screws through the enclosure and into the load cell, tightening so the screw sits flush, without putting too much weight on the scale.
6. Lift the tool away from the base plate. There should now be a uniform gap between the base plate and the enclosure.
7. Install the firmware from the installation page.
